Get Started - World Building

Worldbuilding can be as intense or simple as you want it to be. The system is designed to be very open to any setting, so go crazy. We recommend starting with a logline to center your thoughts.

The Logline A term from screenwriting - A one sentence summary of the plot including character, location, and the protagonist. Its not in depth but gets the idea across and introduce the reader to what the screenplay is about.

Here it acts as the jumping point of the world, introducing the players (including you GM) to the world we are about to explore.

In a world filled with fantastical beasts and unpredictable magic a party of adventurers will go on an unruly quest to save their new barkeep friend from an unknown antagonist.

This sentence does not embody the whole campaign, its there to get it started and build a tone for the story that may come along. It also gives you the GM a list of things you need to think about.

The goal is not to single handedly build the entire world, we let it develop through play. Instead we think of these three things and how they would respond to the players.
